We are very proud to announce that 70,000,000 frames have been rendered on SheepIt Renderfarm!
Since everyone who is involved in SheepIt is doing it on their spare time, events like these are really heartwarming.
For the stats lover, here are some:

With the success of SheepIt, it's more and more obvious that the current server will not be enough. We are switching some components of the "SheepIt network" to allow the adding of new servers to handle heavy loads (like the mp4 generation). Some tests have already been done and the switch-over of the architecture should be done this year. From a user or even renderer point of view, this switch should be seamless and you should even see an improvement of download speed!
In the meantime, we are still expanding the network with new binary and project mirrors. Since the last event in march we've got 2 new binary and 1 new project mirror. We really do appreciate the lending of resources!
Everyone who has their machine connected is the reason why we are motivated to keep working on Sheepit.
We would also like to thank rrrak who agreed to share his frame. He has a really nice website about scientific illustration.
